During W33, the Delhi wholesale market is experiencing strong demand for apples. However, supply has been severely affected by heavy rain and landslides in the Himachal region of India. In Himachal, the adverse weather conditions have led to disruptions in transportation, with trucks stranded on the Shimla-Delhi highway. Traders are concerned about the quality of the arriving lots due to the ongoing situation. In Kullu, the market has only 2-3 truckloads of old stock available for supply, resulting in limited availability and higher prices ranging from USD 24.07 to 33.69/25kg box (INR 2,000 to 2,800/25kg box), depending on size and quality.

There has been a resumption of supply from the Kashmir region, where the reported product quality is good. Gala apples are experiencing strong demand, with prices ranging between USD 18.05 to 19.25/box (INR 1500 to 1600/box) ranging from 13.5kg to 14kg box, pricing based on box weight and quality. Zaramin apples are also available at USD 14.44/10.5kg box (INR 1200/10.5kg box) for 50c-60c to USD 9.63 to 12.03/10.5kg box (INR 800 to 1,000/10.5kg box), depending on size and quality.
