Markets will be out of stock soon in Turkey

Vegetable Oil Industry Association shared their concerns about current stocks of vegetable oils in Turkey by sending a letter to the Ministry of Commerce, General Directorate of Imports. As per VOIA's letter, stocks will finish by the end of March/the first half of April. Natural Sunflower prices have already increased from USD 1,400 to USD 2000. As explained by VOIA's letter, Russia holds 15-16 cargo ships that have cargo loaded for Turkish importers. VOIA asked for the Ministry of Commerce's support to solve this issue with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Russian Embassy, which will soon cause producers to stop production lines due to the lack of raw material. VOIA also added that Russia unwittingly applies embargo to Turkish oil and food importers. At the same time, they keep supplying natural gas to the EU and other countries that apply embargo on Russia.
