Morocco exported more than 170,000 tonnes of red fruits during the 2019/2020 campaign, which represents an increase of 24% compared to the previous campaign.

The red fruit sector in Morocco is an engine of the economy due to the broad export prospects. The predominance of the sector has thus made it possible to stay the course for exports, despite the crisis of the Coronavirus (Covid-19). Indeed, exports reached 170,000 tons, an increase of 24% compared to last year, allowing an inflow of currencies of 6.5 billion dirhams, an increase of 32%, according to the Moroccan Confederation of Agriculture. The top exports in this category are strawberries, raspberries, pomegranate and cherries.
