Moroccan prickly pear is in danger due to the severe threats

Prickly pear production in Morocco is under serious threat from the cochineal. As a result sales price is three times higher than the price one year ago. The sales price for the prickly pear seed oil reached an all-time high at about USD 1300/liter, if not higher.
