The 2022/23 Moroccan raspberry harvest has commenced and the season appears to be earlier than previous years due to the high summer temperatures experienced this year. The entire 2022/23 production is destined for the domestic market for two main reasons. Firstly, the extreme summer heat negatively affected the shelf life of raspberries which limits its capacity for export. Secondly, the presence of production from other origins on the export markets, mainly in Europe, does not justify the risks involved in exporting heat damaged raspberries.
