Myanmar started to commercialize the honey production and supply to the international market 10 years ago, but the capacity is still low compared to Ukraine, New Zealand, and Canada. In late 2020, when the European Union has approved the import of Burmese honey, it has pushed the Myanmar honey industry to expand its beekeeping and processing facilities. Exporters expect the honey production will be doubled in the next three years.
