There are several confirmed COVID-19 cases are confirmed at the border of Myanmar and China. The Chinese authorities have decided to shut down the Shwe Li Gate for more than a week from September 15. Due to the shutdown agro-commodities such as sesame, mung bean, and peanut which are mainly exported to China are affected. The lack of exports has increased the stocks in the warehouses of supplier and decreased the prices by at least 5%-10%.
