Myanmar onion price decreases to the lowest since September 2020

In September 2020, the Burmese onion was in the stock supply with the high demand by the Bangladesh Buyer. The local onion wholesale price went up to MMK 1200 per viss until Bangladesh stopped purchasing onions in November. In early January, when the Indian government lifts up the onion export, the Burmese onion became uncompetitive in the global market. The local onion price decreases up to MMK 350 per viss.
