Myanmar tomato price rises up triple during the second wave of Covid-19

Since the second-wave of COVID-19 has started, the local authorities in Myanmar implemented a travel ban, disrupting local logistics and supply chain in the country. In Yangon Region, nonresidents are not allowed to come into the region by either personal vehicles or public transport. The panic buying and supply shortage coupled with supply chain limitations have affected the tomato price. The price increased from MMK 1500 per viss up MMK 4000 per viss within one week.
