Malaysia will have a mega-cornfield by 2033 with the production largely being used to feed the poultry. The long-term plan is targeted to reduce the country's reliance on imported materials that face uncertainties and prices hike issues. Corn as an imported raw material to be used as chicken feed has experienced a significant price rise of up to 110 percent since 2020. In short term, meanwhile, MAFI strives to increase the use of local sources of goods by using bran, crushed rice, found rice, and rice bran or palm waste as formulations for the production of chicken feed.
