Polish Poultry Meat Production Expected to Decrease 20%

Polish poultry meat processors (incl. whole chicken, chicken parts, chicken meal etc.) expect a 20% drop in the poultry livestock headcount within the next 2-3 months. Hatcheries that used to work at 100% capacity have reduced their growing of new hatchlings, some even stopped altogether. The primary reason for the decrease in production is an increase in production costs, especially the significant price increases in electricity and grain for fodder.
