The Federal Government of Nigeria is looking into very impediment that hampered export business in Nigeria.
The Nigerian export promotion council is working with NICERT and United States Agency for International Development to assist MSMEs with product certification under Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point. This is an optional and non- mandatory certification, but will give an advantage to the exporters by increasing the acceptability of their products especially in the European market.
All vegetables and fresh fruit exporters are also to ensure that their products are covered with the phyto-sanitary certificate issued by the Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Service to avoid rejection of their products at the terminal market.
