The national seafood exporters are faced with a new regulation in terms of exporting their products to China that was implemented by the Chinese government earlier this month. This new regulation could be immediately felt by some of the exporters of tuna and ribbonfish who were required to also include a COVID test for the production and shipment staff on their shipment and export documents. Failure to comply with this regulation may result in a delay in the discharging of the product, or the product being rejected by the port authority.
