New Pakistani onion more competitive than Indian onion

New Pakistani onion crop is giving tough competition to Indian onion variety in the Colombo market. Pakistani onion is said to be of better quality as compared to Indian onion upon reaching the destination and is also approximately 10% cheaper compared to Indian onions, causing a shift in Sri Lankan buyers' demand from Indian onion to Pakistani onion.
