Blueberry growers will have eleven new varieties (three are Southern Highbush, seven are Northern Highbush and one is Rabbiteye) that can be exported. This will give New Zealand more competitiveness in the blueberry market. With new varieties entering the market soon, and with a good percentage of organic blueberries, New Zealand would be expecting premium prices for their berries.
