Nigeria's Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) has implored rice farmers to promote local rice consumption. The federal ministry is implementing measures to strengthen intra-trading, especially with the non-producing states in Nigeria, to improve and enhance their competitive advantage.
