Nigerian government provides training to facilitate rice export

The Lagos State Government Ministry of Agriculture is providing training to MSMEs (Medium and Small Medium Enterprise) who are planning to package and export Ofada rice to international markets. This is due to the burgeoning number of Nigerians in the diaspora, which is creating effective demand for local food products. Currently, Ofada rice in major local supermarkets and hypermarkets is sold at USD4.09 per kg.
