The Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture through its Lagos State Coconut Development Agency (LASCODA) has appealed to private growers and agro-commodity companies to aggressively invest in the coconut value chain. According to the Nigeria AgriBusiness Group, Nigeria has lost USD 1billion due to the untapped potentials. Currently, Nigeria imports coconut mainly from Ivory Coast and Ghana in order to meet local demand.
