Hurricane Kay brought high water levels to Sinaloa, saturating the soil and affecting the crops. The hurricane also delayed labor, which reduced the supply of vegetables like squash, tomato, and bell pepper. Some plantations were so affected, that those producers will have to wait for 3 to 4 weeks to restart their work on the land.
