Norwegian Fresh Salmon Exports Dip In W19 2024, Prices Rise

During the W19 of 2024, Norway saw a significant drop in the export of fresh salmon, down by 8% week-on-week (WoW), especially within the 3-6 kilogram (kg) superior salmon category. This led to a decrease of 894 metric tons (mt) in fish exports. On the flip side, despite the reduced export volume, there was a slight uptick in pricing, with prices climbing by USD 0.27/kg, reaching USD 12.05/kg. Moreover, Q3 and Q4 contracts are traded at USD 8.46/kg FCA Oslo.
