Oilseed and grain prices are flying high in Bulgaria, with sunflower breaking records

While global grain markets are in a stabilizing trend, oilseed and grain prices are increasing in Bulgaria, according to the latest market analysis by the Sofia Commodity Exchange.

Wheat prices have increased by 20% on average compared to last year and as of Nov, 11th the food-grade wheat is traded at around €189 per ton (farmgate) while the feed-grade wheat is traded at €180 per ton.

Corn prices have increased by 28% y/y basis and the corn is being traded at around €173 per ton, while the sunflower oil-grade seeds make the highest increase with 43% on a y/y basis and the commodity is traded at around €418 per ton as of Nov, 11th.
