The price of the fresh ginger in Indonesia continues the drastic downtrend since March 2021. This is because several regions have entered the harvest season and imported ginger has flooded the market since last year. The demand for ginger increased last year, pushing the price up to 50%. This high demand encouraged farmers to plant and import by the importers. The current decline in demand and oversupply has pushed prices below last year's prices.
