Panama’s exports rose 8.9% in 1 year

Between July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020, exports of Panamanian goods reached a FOB value of $ 703.9M, thus registering an increase of 8.9% compared to exports between July 2018 and June 2019, which totaled $ 646.3M.
Within the mentioned period, products such as banana (U$D144.6M or +20.6%), watermelon (U$D 12.3M or +18.5%), unrefined sugar (U$D 29.9M or + 56.2%), fish meal (U$D 77.4M or+ 49.7%), coffee (U$D 26.5M or + 38.7%), beef (U$D 43M or + 117.5%), fish and fresh, refrigerated and frozen fish fillet (U$D 50.3M or + 8.3%), among other seafood products (U$D 1.5M or + 17.3%), were the ones that reported a higher percentage of growth versus the previous year.
The main export destinations were Europe, the United States, Asian countries and Latin America.
