Paraguay's pork meat and offal exports are behind 2019's

Paraguayan pork meat and giblets exports registered a total of approximately 2,5K tons considering the range of January- August 2020. This implies a drop of 8.3% compared to the same period of 2019. In that year, in the same time span, the sector exported a total of 2,7K tons, according to a report issued by the National Animal Health and Quality Service (Senacsa).
The amount of meat and derivatives exported during this period represents a value of approximately U$D 6,8M.
In a deeper analysis, meat exports during the first 9 months of 2020 were 1.8K tones valued in about U$D 4,1M. Giblets on the other hand accounted for 616 tones which value was set at U$D 998K.
Paraguay’s main pork destinations and share are Georgia (70%), UAE (10%), followed by Azerbaijan, Albania, Vietnam, and Gabon among others.
