The health authorities of Peru (Senasa) and Bolivia (Senasag) participated in a bilateral meeting in order to strengthen bilateral trade between both countries. It was agreed to hold some technical meetings to establish access requirements for new products and improve access to those that are currently exported. It will seek to specify the access of coffee beans, quinoa beans, prickly pear, grape plants and avocados, benefiting Peruvian producers who export to Bolivia.

In 2019, Bolivia was positioned as the 36th most important destination for Peruvian exports with a 0.2% share. Cocoa was mainly exported to this market (51% share), potato (25% share) and tomato (17% share) all of them in a value added presentation. On the other hand, Bolivia was a supplier of 0.3% of agricultural products imported by Peru. From the neighbor, the main products that Peru acquired were corn (37% share), legumes (34% share) and Brazil nuts (12% share).
