Philippine expected to increase production of cacao beans in Davao

According to local farmers, 80% of the Philippines cacao is grown in the Davao region. Farmland for cacao is growing rapidly in Davao for two main reasons, (1) the inter-cropping program by the Bureau of plants and (2) the conversion of banana plantations infested by the Panama.
