The trend of harvested pineapples in 2022

According to the local pineapple export manager in the Philippines, 40% of Champaca pineapple is expected to be processed in the first half of 2022. The low harvest tonnage will be delivered to process pineapple juice concentrate including other processed canned products. In the second half of the year, 60% of the harvest is expected to be processed for pineapple juice concentrate as the result of the expected peak harvest in the last quarter, particularly from November to December 2022. There is a chance for new customers of pineapple juice concentrate to get approved orders. The harvest trend for both processed pines and fresh pines for export has the same pattern of peak fruit availability in 2022.
