Pingtung, Taiwan Mango season comes to an early end due to COVID

Taiwan's first Delta variant of COVID-19 cases was found in the hometown of mango, Fangshan, Pingtung, the largest production region of mango. The city enters a semi-lockdown on June 27, 2021. The packhouses or steam houses in the region of Tainan or Taichung are announcing they do not accept trucks from Pingtung, which makes an early end for Pingtung's mango season for export. The Pingtung mango season would usually last till the first or second week of July. The remaining mango will be sold to the domestic market.
