US Poultry Processors Return from Holidays, Supply Increase Expected

US poultry processors returned from the holidays, and more chicken supply will be available in the domestic market in week 27. A handful of offerings are making the rounds at discounted levels due to the extra supply. Whole chickens and WOGs continue to trend in a sideways fashion. Tenders supply is also more available. Small and jumbo sized wings are reported as being the most pressured while medium sized wing supply is more available. Chunk and trim meats remain mixed overall. Legs and leg quarters are seeing some scattered pressure, but have stabilized. While not every seller of thigh meat is reporting long supplies, the majority of input received continues to revolve around discounted ask prices and sales.
