The Price of Local MD2 Pineapple Planting Material in the Philippines Remains Stable in W47

The local price of MD2 Pineapple Planting Materials (Suckers) remained stable at USD 0.11 (PHP 6.50) for sizes from Medium to Large (above 300g sizes) in W47. The main source of the planting materials is pineapple nurseries in the Southern Philippines region and some farms with areas not re-planted. The Philippine Pineapple Industry continued a very strong expansion, especially from Corporate Growers. In the previous decades, the Philippines has exported planting materials to Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam in Southeast Asia.
