Price of Octopus in East Java Keeps Increasing During W11

Frozen giant octopus (species: Octopus Cyanea) processed in the form of whole cleaned flower shape with 90% net weight and 10% glazing is being offered at a higher price and, especially as fishermen stopped going to the sea temporarily. The high price is due to low supply and high demand as the Ramadan started. The supplier is offering USD 6/kg for 500-1k gm, USD 7.30/kg for 1k-2k gm, USD 8.30/kg for 2k-3k gm, and USD 8.50kg for 3k gm CFR Europe for W11. The prices increased more than in the previous week when prices stood at USD 5.30/kg for 500-1k gm, USD 6.80/kg for 1k-2k gm, USD 8.10/kg for 2k-3k gm, and USD 8.30/kg for 3k gm.
