Price of Peruvian asparagus going down starting week 40

The price of Peruvian asparagus was historically high(USD 21.50/5Kg box FOB) in the last five weeks (week 36~40) due to high demand from the US. Nevertheless, this has started to change and prices dropped to FOB USD 16-17.00/5Kg Box. This situation is going to remain for a while and exporters expect to see prices around FOB USD 12-13/5Kg box for the US market.
