Ecuador's canned tuna industry exports over USD 1B per year in FOB value, and this product remains the 3rd most exported food product after shrimp and bananas. For W39, processors are paying approximately USD 1850-1900 per MT of frozen skipjack tuna, delivered to Ecuador's main fishing tuna docks located in the city of Manta.
