Record production and sales of palm oil in the local market

The main sectors where palm oil is involved are food and biodiesel, and these two sectors showed a positive dynamic during 2021, which led to a 42% growth, reaching local sales of 1.2 million MT. It is important to mention that the international prices of this product also had a positive behavior; in comparison, the average price per ton in 2020 was around USD 710, and in 2021 the price per ton averaged USD 1,200, which implies a significant growth.

This dynamic of the palm sector benefits the entire population involved in the palm oil industry, consolidating this crop as a great generator of welfare in the regions where it is established.
