Shipping vessels from Russia, mainly carrying durum wheat for grinding and processing, are expected to arrive in Italy in the coming days. The increased ship traffic from Ukraine is due to the landmark Turkey-brokered grain corridor agreement between Russia, Ukraine, the United Nations and Turkey. The increased volumes of grain in the Italian market is expected to result in a general price drop of grains. Buyers believe that as more vessels from Ukraine carrying grain start arriving, the generic price of grains in Italy will decrease further.
