Global mandarin purchases grew by over 10% during the first semester 2020 (compared to the same period in 2019).
Regarding market growth, France had positioned as the main importing country with 13% share, displacing Russia to second place (12%). France importers purchased US $ 276 million (+20% more than what they acquired in 2019). France main suppliers where Spain (59.6% share) and Israel (24.9% share). During 2020, Spain exported US $ 165 million of mandarin (+23.7% more than in 2019) while Israel exported US $ 68 million (+24.9% more than the previous year).
On the other hand, Russia imported mandarins for US $ 258 million (+22% more than the previous year). Turkey (31.7% share) and Pakistan (25.7%) stood out as its main suppliers. The value exported by Turkey was US $ 82 million (+60.5% more than in 2019). While Pakistan totaled US $ 66 million (-20.9% less than the previous year).
