Revenue from brazilian chicken meat exports is 13% less than 2019

Brazil exported 3.498 million tons of chicken meat in the first 10 months of 2020 which is a slight increase in comparison to the same period last year when 3490 million tons were shipped. Revenues from exports fell by 13% to USD 5.066 billion. In October, the volume of exports declined by 9.4% reach 319.7 thousand tons and in revenue, USD 446.8 million a decrease of 21.2% in comparison to the same period last year. China remains the main destination for Brazilian chicken meat in 2020. In total, 564 thousand tons were exported between January and October this year, a number 24% higher than that recorded in the same period in 2019. Other key importers were of Asia are South Korea, with 109.5 thousand tons (+ 7%), and Singapore, with 106.4 thousand tons (+ 32%).
