In W30, Thailand's rice prices observed an upward trend. This escalation is due to ongoing renegotiations of price terms by rice exporters concerning shipments scheduled for August. The global market has witnessed an approximate increase of USD 80/metric tonne (mt) in prices of major rice varieties following India's imposition of a ban on July 20. Notably, as of July 26, Thailand's rice prices stand at white rice 5% at USD 572/mt, white rice 25% at USD 547/mt, Thai Jasmine rice (Thai Fragrant Rice) at USD 730/mt, Thai Hom Mali Rice - Premium (crop year 2021/22) at USD 1074/mt, and Thai Hom Mali Rice - Premium (crop year 2022/23) at USD 925/mt.
