Robusta coffee crops prefer lower altitude to achieve ideal yield

Robusta coffee plants are generally are grown at a lower altitude in comparison to the than Arabica crops. The lower altitude offers a higher yield of coffee in comparison to a high altitude plant. This pattern is observed in Mexico, Jamaica and some areas of Brazil and Zimbabwe as these countries have suitable climate conditions. The global production of coffee is usually measured in jute bags which can hold 60 kg of coffee/bag.
