Russian importers who used to get long term contracts with Japanese suppliers of seafood have to look for new suppliers due to supply problems. Fresh and live oysters are usually delivered by air transport, but now the delivery is limited due to the pandemic. Therefore, Russian importing companies are trying to deliver to South Korea, where the air traffic is more established and stable.
