Amid decreased consumption caused by tourism disruptions this year, the island of Santorini, Greece expects to register excessive supply of wine grapes. Last year the island had a record low harvest yield of 1000 tons due to unfavorable weather conditions. This year, winegrowers expect to have a good harvest of around 2,200 tons however they also estimate that wine prices will plummet and go down to €3-€3,5 per liter.
