During W45, the sesame seed price dropped USD 14.18/MT (RMB 100/MT) in China due to the low demand from the end-users. Trading is restricted, and the price is negotiable. Most of the sesame seed supply arriving in Qingdao port is from Mozambique. Niger seeds are coming into China gradually, and forecasts indicate a peak supply in December 2022. The price for Ethiopian white sesame seeds in China in W45 stood at USD 1842.80-1956.20/MT (RMB 13000-13800/MT), differing by quality.
