Severe Reefer Container Shortages in Guatemala

Due to a lack of space availability, it has been a challenge for exporters and producers in Guatemala to reserve spaces in reefer containers with shipping companies. Now the problem has worsened, and prices have increased by 50% compared to the beginning of October. This can be a problem with exports of pineapple, lime, and bananas since these fruits have to be transported at a low temperature to ensure quality.
