Prices of imported vegetables have seen a sharp increase since the beginning of November 2021. The most significant price increases were seen in cauliflower and broccoli of which prices were almost doubled compared to October 2021 before the Covid 19 travel restirction was lifted. Fruits and vegetables importers are bracing for higher landed costs for fresh produce with the lower exchange rate of MYR to USD. The Malaysian ringgit continues to decline against the USD, from MYR 4.25 ro MYR 4.27 against dollar on 26 Nov 2021.
