Shortage of Spanish Onions in W2 Due to Unfavourable Weather

Due to the adverse weather conditions suffered by Spanish onion production during the last months, the current availability of onion is very limited. This situation, combined with the high demand from European countries, is causing practically no interest in exporting onions outside the EU. This scarcity situation is expected to last until the start of the new campaign during April-May, when the situation is expected to stabilize.
