Since W52, Price of Fresh Ginger New Crop Is Increasing While the Price of Old Crops Drops in China

The new ginger is ready for export usage in cold storage in China. However, the price of the new crop is so high this season that the majority of regular purchasers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia still favor using the old ginger for export since it costs 20% to 30% less than the price of the new crop. The issue with the old ginger's quality is becoming worst, and it is impossible to stock for a very long period. Therefore the price of old ginger dropped slightly, and the cost of fresh ginger keeps increasing each week. In the past two weeks, the new ginger price increased by around 20%.
