The South African poultry sector has seen a 15% increase in its slaughtering capacity. Over the last three years, an estimated 3M more broilers have been slaughtered per month. This represents 22.5M broilers slaughtered monthly over the same period, despite local and global challenges. The poultry industry in South Africa is now estimated to have grown from USD 3.09B to USD 3.25B over the same period.
