Slight decrease in avocado hass production due to covid 19

Ever since Covid 19 stroke worldwide avocado production has a slightly decrease due to labor shortages and social distancing, if compared to the previous years where they had an annual yield of 300.000 metric tonnes in 2018 and 210.000 mt in 2019.

That being considered, the current demand for chilean avocado is improving since their current destinations despite off-setting demand had a purchase volume similar to the previous campaigns, of which it makes every exporter to be selective in order to meet the demand, as the production of this very year had dropped 20% average, pressing prices up.
