Smaller peanut yields in Texas,US

Drought and severe heat across Texas this year limited the state's peanut production. Though planted acres increased in 2020 to 190,000 acres from 180,000 in 2019, yields fell from 3,050 pounds/acre to 2,700 pounds/acre. The primary cause for this was the lack of moisture. Nevertheless, despite the drop in yield, the crop produced were high-quality.
