Garlic is produced in Zimbabwe and produced in various regions of the country and considered less complicated to grow than higher valued crops. But for this expansion of the garlic market to happen in Zimbabwe, the President of Zimbabwe has launched a National Export Strategy, which prioritizes the horticulture sector and considers the production capacity development a need. The efforts to improve the garlic market and agriculture sector are included in the US$8.2 billion agriculture and food systems transformation strategy, expected to ensure maximum productivity & mechanization.
